Teradata DBA
Application Knowledge: Teradata V2R5 & V2R12, Teradata SQL Assistant, UNIX
Skills, Knowledge Experience Requirements:
- Exposure to implementing End to End Data warehousing projects
- Expertise on Teradata DBA activities like performance monitoring, performance tuning, Backup activities
- Experience in Teradata administrative tools like Teradata manager
- Extensively worked on Teradata V2R5 & V2R12 utilities/tools like (BTEQ, Queryman, Bulkload, Fast Load, MultiLoad, Database Query Manager, Fast Export
- Strong knowledge in Teradata tools like Multiload, Fastload, Parallel Data Pump (Tpump), BTEQ
- Excellent knowledge on DBMS concepts and database testing should be able to create, read & interpret data models
- Experience in Database Sizing, Capacity Planning, Database Performance Monitoring, Database Backup/Recovery and SQL Query Tuning
- Extensive experience in Data Warehousing concepts including in Data mart and Data Mining using Dimension Modeling
- Expert knowledge in Space management, User management, Backup and Recovery, Excellent troubleshooting, and Database Maintenance
- Hands on experience in designing and developing mappings, sessions and workflow management.
- Good exposure to relational databases SQL & PL/SQL
- Good understanding of Business Process/system/analysis/design, data modeling and
ETL Tools.
