Dear hema, Title : Software Engineer Job Description : Dev Services India team is seeking a Software Engineer who can develop installer solutions to complex software engineering problems, which require frequent use of ingenuity and creativity. The candidate should have good installer development skills using InstallShield 11 with good analytical and problem solving skills; and someone who thrives in a fast paced environment with changing priorities. The ideal candidate is a self motivated team player with good organizational and communication skills. Primary responsibilities will include creating and maintaining installers using InstallShield 11 on multi platforms. The candidate should have good technical skills, Interface with engineering teams to carry out the required installer deliverables. Responsibilities: • Work with cross functional teams to understand the systems and the requirements, Analyze the requirements and accordingly deliver the required installer solutions • Develop and maintain installers using InstallShield 11 • Develop and maintain software installation and update/patch releases • Work closely with organizations around the world to generate high quality software updates in response to customer escalations / project requirements in a timely manner. Required Skills: • 2-3 years of working experience in the installer development • Installer development using InstallShield 11 / Universal Installer 11. • Installer development experience on multiple platforms like Windows, Unix, Linux, Solaris, HPUX, AIX • Prior work experience in Java development is must. C / C++ development experience will be an added advantage. • Experience working with source control systems (like ClearCase, SubVersion, or Perforce). • Good understanding of operating system internals (Windows and Linux in particular) and web architecture • Prior work Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Batch and Shell Scripting. • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities. • Commitment to customer satisfaction. • Good analytical and problem solving skills • Good team player. • Attention to detail.
