Strong development experience in Core Java (at least JAVA 5) - Collections Framework - Multi Threading - Swing (Preference) - JDBC 2. Sound knowledge of OO fundamentals 3. Knowledge of Design Patterns 4. Experience with Eclipse IDE 5. Basic SQL Experience 6. Oracle development with PL/SQL 7. Query Optimization 8. XML knowledge 9. Strong software and business systems design, analysis, problem-solving and development skills 10. Knowledge of distributed compute infrastructures 11. Unix experience 12. Familiarity with UNIX Shell/Perl programming 13. Experience with a version control system like Clearcase, Subversion, etc. 14. Background in Finance, Risk Management and/or Financial Instruments a plus. 15. Self motivated individual who can take full responsibility for a subcomponent within the team. Should be ready to participate in a team development and support of various components of large-scale applications 16.
